Spindleworks is a non profit art center for adults with disabilities.
Spindleworks is a program of the Independence Association whose mission is to help children and adults with disabilities live full and inclusive lives in their chosen communities. The studios, store and Whatnot Gallery are located in the historical Jordan Double House, in downtown Brunswick.
Over 35 artists work in a a variety of mediums including drawing, painting, woodworking, fiber arts and ceramics. In addition the artists write poetry and stories and express themselves through acting and performance arts. They have exhibited widely and are a vibrant part of the Maine artistic community.
